As a 501(c)(3) organization, The Black Mountain Blue Society was founded with a simple mission to preserve, celebrate, and grow the blues in Western North Carolina through education, outreach, and meaningful support for the artists who keep this music alive.

We also serve as the banner for the annual Black Mountain Blues Experience.
